This unique device offers you the opportunity to enjoy a taste or a glass of wine without having to open the bottle. It utilizes a medical grade needle as well as Argon gas (a safe and inert gas used by winemakers) to pressurize the bottle to enable you to extract your desired amount of wine. Then, once you’ve finished pouring your glass and have removed the Coravin from the bottle, the cork expands back because it is naturally elastic. You can return the bottle back to the cellar just like it was never opened.

The Coravin was designed by Greg Lambrecht, a wine lover and a medical device inventor, who wanted to drink wine while his wife was pregnant without having to open an entire bottle of wine. He just wanted to enjoy a glass.
