Come out and discover Barbaresco with me on a late Saturday afternoon. We will sit and enjoy examples from Cigliuti and Sottimano over casual, light Italian snacks. I’ll share with you the history of these two family-owned estates based in Barbaresco and give you details on their viticulture and winemaking too. They offer contrasting styles with one being a more modern style of Barbaresco offering more fruit character, roundness and softer tannins and the other a more traditional style expression of Nebbiolo with the fruit less expressive, more pronounced acidity and noticeable tannins. Come taste and see which style you prefer! I adore this pastime in Italy of catching up with friends over drinks and snacks before heading out to dinner, so we decided to create a bit of that experience for you here in Hong Kong. Travel to Barbaresco with me on the 28th!
