Join us at The Fine Wine Experience in Sai Ying Pun for a masterclass covering the full range of BOND wines, joined in person by Bernice Cheng, General Manager of Asia Pacific, Domain. H. William Harlan, and via Zoom by Maximillian Kast MS, Estate Director of BOND, to guide us through the range.
As Linden discovered on his visit in February, BOND is Bill Harlan’s vision for Napa Valley single vineyard expression of Cabernet Sauvignon, a search for a collection of Napa Valley “grand crus”. You can read about his visit here, and also his impressions from a tasting of the full collection of five sites.
This evening we will be guided through the five different grand crus at BOND, all from the highly regarded 2018 vintage, followed by another look at two of them – St Eden and Vecina, from the 2014 vintage.
Join us at 6.45 pm for a prompt 7pm start, to 8pm finish. The masterclass takes place at Bâtard, with the option to stay for dinner to follow.
Don’t miss out on this chance to discover the variety of expressions possible in Napa from different sites, each through the same guiding philosophy and winemaking approach, and all at the highest level of quality we are seeing in Napa today. As Linden found, BOND appeals to wine lovers who like to go deep into understanding the nuances a top region can offer site to site, one that expands our pleasure by demanding that we go deeper in order to understand. ‘This is closer to the experience of collecting wines from Burgundy, the Mosel or Piedmont – each year there is a matrix of vintage and multiple terroirs expressed through a grape variety, and so to Pinot Noir, Riesling and Nebbiolo, BOND adds Cabernet Sauvignon to this type of fine wine experience. If that is something that appeals to you in any one of those other regions, chances are this longer journey at BOND is going to appeal to you too.’
