Over the past ten years, Ian and his team have examined more than 750 soil pits across thousands of acres of land, by physically digging the soil and recording the rocks. Their tireless search revealed only 7.3 acres of rare volcanic rocks. These tiny but significant areas now host Rose & Arrow’s nine carefully crafted vineyard sites, where Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are produced with a dedication to showcasing the unique characteristics of the land. This approach helps Rose & Arrow cultivate outstanding Pinot Noir, often regarded as the crown jewel of Burgundy wines.
