This year April showers have brought us the return of Linden to Hong Kong. To kick off his exit from quarantine and hosting wine tastings again in person, he’s created a 2000 Bordeaux dinner featuring the wines that offer good quality at reasonable prices from this vintage. The 2000 growing season got off to a challenging start with mildew being a concern, but then by mid-July glorious sunshine set in producing favourable ripening conditions. Like 1990, one of the hallmarks of the 2000 vintage is the consistency across both the Left and Right Bank and across all wine levels with the Super Seconds really shining through in 2000.

Come join Linden at Duddell’s in early May to taste these wines and to discuss your impressions of the 2000 vintage in Bordeaux. The wines all now have 21 years of ageing in bottle, so it’s a good time to explore how they’ve held up and where this vintage is at now. Has this debut vintage to the millennium held up with other outstanding years for Bordeaux?
